What is a Podcast?

This web site is used for the LVS Online Podcasting course. If you would like to sign up for this course, go to the Podcasting Intro signup page. Podcasting is an exciting technology that has become a big buzz word on the web and in the media. New services for listening to and creating podcasts are constantly popping up. This industry is seeing very exciting growth. Anyone can create a podcast. All you need is a computer, a microphone and the Internet. You do not have to have an iPod to listen to a podcast. You can listen to one on your computer. We will be using the free open source software, Audacity, for recording and editing our podcasts. Why wait! Sign up now!

The Writing Dragon Speaks: Find Your Passion and Go For It!

Too many of us are stuck in jobs that are only a means to support ourselves and/or our family. How many people can say they love what they do? This small discourse is an encouragement to find your passion, the one thing that gives you joy in the doing, and go for it. Even if it is only a small part of your daily schedule, it's important to fulfill yourself and your talent by making the effort to incorporate that passion into your life.
